The meditative, healing and enlightening effects of the labyrinth are often characterized as a “four-fold path””
• Remembering – gathering one’s thoughts
• Releasing – letting go of distractions and burdens
• Receiving – at the center, receiving inner peace, insight, and wisdom
• Resolve – readiness to face the world anew
Each person’s path is different, and there will be ample time for private, meditative, purposeful individual pilgrimages.

Labyrinth Construction and Walk
Danny Lindsey

The labyrinth is a form of maze, but with no blind alleys or paths, only one true path leading from the entrance to the center. The basic design has been around for at least 5,000 years, and appears in such disparate cultures as Celtic and Roman, even in India and Sumatra. In the American Southwest, the design can be found woven into baskets and painted on Native American artifacts as well. For the gathering at 7 Springs to celebrate the eclipse, we will take the time and avail ourselves of the opportunity to “align ourselves with our natural surroundings, our community, and our purpose” by creating and walking the path of a classical labyrinth. Our objective is to realize a deeper connection to ourselves, to our community and with the Earth. We will create a 7 circuit classical labyrinth which will mirror the movement of the sun’s arc across the sky, and which will combine with the workshops and other offerings to act as a mirror to the labyrinth of life.

Introduction to Maori Healing
Ana Goncalves

Maori Healing promotes the opening and release of physical, emotional, spiritual and mental blockages held long in the body. Working on the central nervous system, the treatment stimulates internal organs, releases toxic waste, tension and pain. This profound work reaches into the depths of the cells, filling cleared space with new energy of life and vitality. Maori Healing is as much physical work as it is energy work. In this Maori workshop, Ana Goncalves (Maori Bodyworker) will teach how to work on your own body with the Rakau, freeing what is no longer needed.

Capoeira - A Brazilian Art Form
Mestre Avestruz

Capoeira is a vigorous "game" that combines dance, ritual, fight, and music. It is played within a circle of people that are playing instruments, clapping hands and doing call and response singing. Two players cartwheel into the circle and "play" the game of capoeira. The game involves circular kicks, rolls, and cartwheels - all without touching each other and within the rhythm of a dance step called the "ginga." This workshop will engage people to find their internal rhythm by learning the basic way of moving in capoeira (the ginga), simple percussive rhythms, and a few movements that are coordinated with a partner. Guided by the music, students will learn to interact with each other through movement.

Ajeet Khalsa

The healing Ring is taught on powerful planetary transits and full moons. The experience consists of practice of Kundalini Yoga then meditation. The Ring is a simple way for our creative community to experience a subtle change to their body, mind and essence. Gathering in a circle sitting with eyes closed we chant and respond seed mantras that exhalt our true Self. Ajeet is a self- initiated Kundalini Yogi and was given this esoteric healing practice from her spiritual teacher, Yogi Bhajan. A mahan tantric master from northern India in the Punjab, Yogi Bhajan shared many deep and profound skills with his students. As we move deeper into the conflict of planetary and political climate change, we must sit together and vibrate the cosmic light. Our sutra for this group consciousness practice is "vibrate the cosmos, and the cosmos shall clear the path!"

Profound Yin Yoga Class
Christy Miu

Yin Yoga has the same goals and objectives as any other school of yoga; however, it directs the stimulation normally created in the asana portion of the practice deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues (which we are calling the yang tissues). Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice.

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

It will be followed by a guided Yoga Nidra meditation.

The experience begins with open circle to for intention setting and sharing, and calling on mother earth through meditation. Then we wander off into the forest to explore through walking meditation, connect to the sacred intelligence of nature, and collect the pieces of mother earth that call to our spirit. With our bounty in tow, we join back together at the creation location to organize the materials by color, texture, shape, and element. Layer by layer, we will observe, feel, and watch the magic unfold as we take turns adding to the mandala. And finally we close with meditation and offerings of gratitude.
