Your Private Yoga class is tailored to your specific requests for type of yoga, parts of the body, or special movements. Jessi has been teaching yoga for almost 15 years and focuses on using the practice for healing our bodies, minds, and souls. If you do not have any specific requests, Jessi will guide a gentle Vinyasa flow class, offering modifications and variations for every body. We will provide you with your mat, blocks, straps, and other props.
Enjoy a Private Sound Bath in complete relaxation with nature and sound vibration. In this experience, you will have the opportunity to lie down and receive sound healing from a variety of instruments, bells, gongs, chimes, rattles, and drums. This experience is carefully tailored to guide you into a deep meditative state to heal and re-align your body at a cellular level.
Take a Nature Hike around the Seven Springs property to explore local flora and fauna. Guided by Mary Long, a local ecologist for over 30 years, you'll not only enjoy a relaxing walk through nature but also have a chance to ask questions and learn about the local ecology! The hike is not strenuous, and there are a variety of trails to choose from according to your preference.
Take a stroll around our Medicinal Herbal Gardens and Forest. We will learn to identify certain herbs that can be found growing in the wild, growing in your yard, or growing in your garden bed. We will discuss the medicinal benefits and preparations for each herb.
Our Holistic Health Consultations are one hour sessions that are guided by what you would like to explore about your current lifestyle and wellness. We will dive into several different aspects of a healthy life, looking through the lenses of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Language Empowerment. We will specifically explore ways to find a deeper connection with our food, movement, relationships, environment, and our Self.
The Flow Design was created to help you find fun and exciting ways to express your Dharma (life’s purpose), and thrive while doing it! This series of spontaneous (Lunar) and analytical (Solar) exercises is designed to inspire the creation of your own personal Vision statement and a 90-day action plan to get you moving towards it. This tool has been used by hundreds of people to access and apply their innate creativity to the art of living their best life. Through this deeply healing process you will intentionally design your life to feel flow more consistently, manifesting clear and achievable goals that align with your deeper life’s purpose and propel you toward your dreams. To prepare for this one hour Flow Design session, we will send you our Flow Design manual to begin working through before you arrive. Our one hour will be spent reviewing the design you have created so far, asking and answering questions, and preparing you to fully complete your Flow Design. Follow up sessions are always possible via Zoom!
Labyrinth Meditative Walk: The labyrinth is an ancient pattern found in many cultures around the world. Labyrinths are typically round and incorporate a circle with a spiral, and mirror patterns in nature. Labyrinth designs are found on pottery, tablets, tiles, coins, and petroglyphs that date back 5000 years. The labyrinth is a walking meditation using one path that leads circuitously to the center and back out. The labyrinth is often viewed as a metaphor for the path we walk in life and may provide a time and space for quieting the mind and body, healing, understanding, personal reflection on life issues, and centering the body/mind/spirit. Every walk is unique to the individual and their practice. Seven Springs Retreats offers meditative labyrinth walks with a Veriditas trained facilitator.
Forest Bathing is a type of Forest Therapy and simply means “taking in the forest atmosphere.” It is based on the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, to counter the burnout and negative health symptoms people experience from living in urban areas and working indoor desk jobs. Documented health benefits include reduced stress, heart rate and blood pressure, and improved concentration, creativity, and mood. Forest bathing invites one to slow down, open one's senses and heart, create mindfulness and be in the present moment. We do this for our health and to create a deeper connection to nature which surrounds and sustains us. Seven Springs Retreats offers guided forest bathing experiences with a certified facilitator.
