Initiation and Descent to the Goddess: Inanna and her sister Ereshkigal

This retreat on the Sumerian myth of the Goddess Inanna is geared for women who want to hear the call of the dark sister Ereshkigal to go down into one’s inner depths. Inanna traveled through the seven gates, to the great Below; to later return back to the great Above. Shamanic journey, reading re-enactments, ecstatic movement/dance, dream incubation and journal writing exercises will be the tools used to tap Ereshkigal’s hidden wisdom for each of us.

Mary Aebischer was a former Jungian-oriented psychotherapist, and Modern Languages teacher. She is
originally from Mexico City and was raised in Mexico and Costa Rica. She is an avid world traveler and has been doing workshops and retreats in TN since 1994. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling, and her PhD in Humanities. She lives in New Mexico studying cross cultural stories and myths that serve as powerful spiritual and psychological maps for wholeness and healing.
