This immersive, all-inclusive Doula + Prenatal Yoga Training is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in learning through a retreat setting in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. This course encompasses traditional doula training curriculum as well as advanced knowledge into biomechanics and birth preparation for already practicing doulas. In addition, dive into prenatal yoga sequencing, anatomy and physiology. Regardless of your level of training, this retreat offers knowledge for every woman to connect and share. As we connect mind, body and spirit, this course will reflect the nutrient cycle of nature. We believe all women are innately grounded and connected with the cycles of nature. Just as with plants, we too draw up energy from the ground to use for our own growth and expansion. We then can use that energy to nourish all those around us. We are always in a constant cycle of creation, life and transformation, and staying grounded in the movement is our key to connection. As birth workers, we hold space for the mother to ground herself in the cycle of birth. With this, the birthing mother is able to empower herself to lead the experience of her own birth.

Doula Course Facilitator: Rebekah Mustaleski, CPM-TN, IBCLC
Rebekah is the founder of Roots & Wings Midwifery. After homebirthing her four children, she became a doula, and then graduated from midwifery training in 2014. Rebekah believes that labor is an incredible moment in a person's life, when they are able to see their own strength, determination, and courage. It is so important to be surrounded by people who care, respect and support the mother throughout the labor process. Throughout Rebekah's training, she has worked with many people in a variety of settings, and she has a strong desire to educate individuals about their options regarding labor and delivery so that each family can make their own decisions about what is right for them. As a licensed CPM, Rebekah is thankful that she can continue to encourage each person she works with to be in charge of their birth experience. Though she has lived in several other places, Knoxville has always been home. Rebekah lives with her husband, four kids and six chickens in the house her grandparents built. She homeschools her children and finds there are never enough hours in the day for all of the things she wants to do.
