ALL-INCLUSIVE HOLISTIC DOULA CERTIFICATION: THE MATRONA PROGRAM

June 29 - July 4, 2022
a 50hr Continuing Education Course (YACEP) through Yoga Alliance

We invite you to step into a powerful circle of women. We invite you to connect with your ancestral and innate life-giving power. We invite you to immerse yourself in learning, sharing, and expanding. This immersive, all-inclusive Holistic Doula Training is a unique opportunity to earn this certification in a retreat setting in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. We will go beyond the robust and deep doula training curriculum to also include morning yoga, sacred ceremony, and song circles. Whether you wish to become a practicing doula or not, this training offers knowledge and experience that every woman can connect with.

In this course, we believe that childbirth is a transformative event, and pregnant women have access to altered states of consciousness that allow them an expanded perspective of life and of themselves. This culminates in the birthing process.

We realize that many women desire to be witnessed, rather than managed, in this extraordinary experience. In our Matrona Doula Program, we put a different spin on what it really means to support and witness a woman, and we explore what it means to nurture a mom during her childbearing cycle.

The Matrona Holistic Birth Doula program is comprehensive in it’s scope. We teach a practical and well rounded body of information about childbirth…all the basics…yet the material is presented holistically, with a balance of the intuitive and the clinical.

We understand that birth is a largely non-linear experience that ebbs and flows according to the sensory experience of the mother. Because of that, we have created a curriculum that is both holistic and practical, teaching midwives and doulas to respond the needs of pregnant and birthing women with intelligence and intuition.

This course offers a family-centered perspective on birth. Our entire class is dedicated to the exploration of the experience of childbirth and it’s ramifications on the soul, spirit and body.
