Curated Retreats for Your Team

A Quiet Place near Knoxville for Teams to Reflect, Plan, and Reconnect

Seven Springs Retreat Center hosts midweek retreats for nonprofits, educational institutions, and mission-driven teams seeking time and space to step back, reconnect, and move forward with clarity. Located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, our retreat setting offers a quiet, natural environment that supports both focused work and meaningful renewal.

Seven Springs is stewarded by Zachary and Jessi Townesmith, who bring over a decade of experience facilitating leadership retreats, organizational planning processes, and restorative group experiences. Zachary’s background in community organizing and organizational development supports teams in clarifying priorities and strengthening alignment. Jessi’s work in trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness helps individuals and teams reconnect with resilience, presence, and well-being.

We suggest at least 2 full days, including 2 or 3 nights, for these retreats. Teams stay in our yurts, eat meals together, and immerse in nature. This is an opportunity for groups to connect and rejuvenate both individually and as a team through these all-inclusive and unique team retreats.

Organizations can choose from these carefully curated retreats:

Leadership & Team Development

This retreat format creates the conditions for real trust to form: shared time, honest conversation, and space away from the roles people play day to day.

We work with teams to design experiences that strengthen communication, surface what isn’t getting said, and help people reconnect to one another and to their shared purpose. Some groups come in the middle of a transition. Others come simply because it’s been too long since they were in the same room without an agenda.
Either way, people leave knowing each other better, and working together differently.

Focus on strengthening trust, communication, and collaboration for your team.

Rest & Renewal

This retreat focuses on your team’s well-being so all can be not just functional, but genuinely resourced. This retreat format offers guided, restorative experiences designed to help staff decompress, reconnect with themselves, and return to their work with renewed capacity.

Jessi leads these sessions with a trauma-informed approach, drawing on practices including yoga and movement, forest bathing, sound healing, labyrinth walks, and guided reflection. Plus, plenty of time to rejuvenate and decompress in the silence and stillness of nature.

If your team is running on empty, this is where you start.

“Beautiful retreat center run by a lovely family! My stay in a yurt was very relaxing. I particularly enjoyed my yoga class with Jessi, walking the labyrinth in the woods, and cooking in the well appointed outdoor kitchen.  I'd highly recommend Seven Springs to individuals, couples, retreat groups, or families looking to deepen their connection to nature and find a peaceful break from normal life.”
