“This was an amazing experience - getting in tune with nature and myself- it was what I needed to let me find myself. I met the most amazing people (friends). This was the 1st time I had done meditation, something I will continue to do. The yoga was amazing and also new to me. I feel so light. I look forward to going back each year to unplug and recharge. Thank you Jessi and Mary! ”

Lars Howlett Lars builds, walks, and photographs labyrinths as a practice in mindfulness. He is a Veriditas Faculty Member and Certified Advanced Labyrinth Facilitator having trained with the leader of the labyrinth movement, Lauren Artress, at Grace and Chartres Cathedrals. For three years he was the apprentice to Master Builder Robert Ferre, learning the art of sacred geometry and his methods of creating proportional and precise Classical and Medieval patterns. In 2015 he launched Discover Labyrinths LLC and is now based in the Washington, DC area. Lars inherited his mentor’s custom tools, labyrinth library, and workshop curriculum. In 2017 Lars was named a Master Builder by contemporaries in his field and leads webinars, workshops, pilgrimages, and retreats. |
Jessi Luna Jessi was born and raised on the land of Seven Springs. She completed her first YTT200 in 2007 and her YTT300 in 2012. She co-founded Kula Collective Yoga School and Seven Springs in 2015. Jessi has always loved to combine elements of dance and natural movement with traditional yogic sequencing. She incorporates attention to rhythm of the breath, and allows for organic movement to flow in each pose. She is passionate about anatomy and physiology and especially women's health. Her first son was born in 2018, and since that time, Jessi has dedicated herself to learning more about birth and birth keeping, as well as focused on creating support circles for women. She has trained as a Birth Doula and Post-partum Doula, and she is passionate about Pre and Post Natal Yoga. Most of all, Jessi believes yoga is a holistic practice that can benefit every woman, and while the asana practice may have brought her into the yoga path, Jessi now enjoys exploring the subtler aspects of the yoga journey through ceremony and circle. |
Mary Long Mary first moved to the land of Seven Springs in 1976. She then earned her Masters in Forestry & Environmental Policy at the University of Tennessee and worked for the US Forest Service throughout the US, Puerto Rico, and southeast Asia. Upon retirement, Mary has continued her passion for learning about and sharing nature, receiving her Naturalists Certification in 2018, Labyrinth Facilitation Certification in 2020 from Verditas, and Forest Therapy Guide Certification in Forest Bathing in 2021 from the Forest Therapy School. |
