As Hospitality and Housekeeper you will be responsible for maintaining a neat, clean and sanitary environment at the Seven Springs Retreat center and in the Sweet Hollow Family home. You enjoy working outside as well as maintaining a clean space inside, noticing detail in cleaning. Most importantly, you are self-motivated: able to self-manage time and to-do lists. This allows you to notice and pursue opportunities while completing tasks within a given timeline.

You will be present on site for one day before guests arrive, at least an hour during each retreat day, and one day after the retreat ends. These days may also include cleaning and doing other household chores in the family home. Compensation: $15/hr
Roles: Guest Preparation: Ensure yurts, bathrooms, showers, dining area, kitchen, classroom and shala are clean, sanitized and ready for guests.
Fridays & Saturdays would be spent with one hour of cleaning the bathhouse and tidying the dining area, plus cleaning in the family home (vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, wiping surfaces).
Follow the following check list for retreat preparation (Wed/Thurs and Monday):
Bathhouse Sweep floor, under shelves, and corners Wipe off shelves and mirror Clean sinks Clean toilets Empty trash cans and replace trash bags Remove soiled towels and place clean towels on racks Add toilet paper to tuppers behind toilets and sink as needed Scrub shower stalls Clean soap dispensers and all toiletry containers Add liquid soap to dispensers Discard empty shampoo containers, combine or replace. Check for mildew on curtain liners and wash or replace as needed Check all curtains for cleanliness and wash as needed Sweep steps Water plants, remove dead leaves, arrange vines as needed Add fresh flowers to counter
Dining Area Tidy up and wipe down hydration station area Clean under station area as needed Empty basket trash and clean as needed Refill water containers or empty and wash as needed Wipe down all tables, shelves, benches Check cups, dishes and flatware for cleanliness and put away Tidy shelves as needed Clean triple sink Water plants, remove dead leaves, arrange vines as needed Add fresh flowers to counter and tables Check mulch floor to ensure no humps or holes, fix as needed Check camp chairs to ensure they are clean and unbroken
Kitchen Empty trash and recycling, replace bags Clean stovetop and grates Wash all dishes, check for cleanliness and put away Clean sink and empty sink strainer Add liquid soap to dispensers Check pots and pans for cleanliness and arrange as needed Check shelves, cabinets, and drawers for cleanliness Wipe clean all appliances and containers on shelves Wipe down inside of refrigerator and arrange and discard items as needed Wipe down all granite countertops and metal cabinet doors Sweep floor
Yurts Empty trash, clean container as needed Dust tables, shelves, window sills, dome area Sweep floor and under beds Clean bed frames and mattresses as needed Shake out all carpets Wash windows and sills as needed Open windows to 3” and pull curtains aside to allow breeze in Make up all beds Place extra blankets on shelves or on base of bed if needed Place towel and washcloth on each bed Tidy up and wipe down shelves and tables Sweep deck, railings, ramp and steps
